FS: 2006 Honda Ridgeline
Hey all, I was down in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago and ended up picking up a Black 06 Ridgeline Navi to drive home. Just testing the waters seeing if anyone would interested in this. This is a great opportunity for someone to save some money over buying a new Ridgeline and save the GST. So, details on the truck:
2006 Ridgeline RTL
-Black on 2 tone beige leather interior
-Navigation
-Sunroof
-Heated front seats
-Power Driver Seat
-17" Alloy wheels
-XM Radio
-Indash 6-disc CD pleyer
and all the normal features that the ridgeline has become known for.
I purchased it brand new and it now has 2505 miles on it or roughly 4000km's. I am asking $41,900 for it which is about a $5k savings over buying one new here or the same as buying just the plain leather addition with no sunroof, xm, or Navi and you also don't have to pay the GST (private sale). I should have the Federal and Provincial safeties done within the next week and then it is ready to go for whomever is interested.

I'm not trying to be a prick or anything, but back when I was car shopping over the winter, a brand new Ridgeline w/ navi/sunroof/leather could be had for $42,500 + tax (at least as far as I was able to negotiate it)... and yours is an american vehicle too (no canadian warranty).
I'm sure you got this truck on a great deal, so I'd just hang onto it... it'll still be worth a lot of money even 5 years from now.

Well thanks for the input Koala, but I think i'll keep advertising it for awhile if you don't mind. Maybe your Honda dealers there in Alberta have alot more negotiating room then here because you go and sit down with a salesperson here and theres no way you can get that good of a price. There could easily be circumstances and reasons to why you can get that good of a price you are not telling us (maybe you are friends with the owner or something). Maybe someone is interested in saving some money and the warranty issue isn't as big of a concern, but they are just unsure of how to import a car, here i have one brought up and ready to go. With our dollar being as strong as it is there are alot of people importing cars from the US. Also, depending on which dealership you go to and if you have any relation with them warranty work is not an issue. All the dealership has to do is submit the warranty claim to Honda USA instead of Canada. Its just a matter of if they will do so for you. Its like if you went on holidays into the US and were down south and your car broke down under warranty. You're telling me you would have to ship the car back to Canada to get fixed? No, a US dealership would be more than willing to help you out otherwise it would be the last honda i ever owned.

Well the honda dealership in Grand forks (an hour into the states, about a 1.5hr drive from my place) sells about 5 new vehicles a week to Canadians so warranty is not that big of an issue. If you ever need warranty you just go there, but hey its a honda, should have any major issues.
A brand new 2006 which is no longer available would have gone for $46,200 plus taxes.
The problem with selling used is you have to compete with lower interest rates (4.9% on new only) and the assorted issues related to purchasing a US model. Lets not forget this vehicle is no longer new.

Last i checked i was only paying 5% on my loans at my local credit Union and yeah, i made the mastake of titling this vehicle in the states. I won't do that again. Then the vehicle would be technically considered new as it would have never been titled or plated.
