Not only that but the stupid jive a$$ SOB's pile up a huge ridge of snow across every gawd dang, friken fraken driveway. On my first day back to work this past week, I had to drive through one of those foot & a half high ridges to get to my parking lot. Scraped the crap out of my front spoiler and cracked it in a couple of places. I should sue the fokkers since I am required by law to report for work on time. And I was sure as Hell not going to leave my car out in the street where I work. I think I'll take it off soon for repair and leave it off for the rest of winter.

BTW, the city contracts out their street cleaning this go round. That is why the work has been so delayed and so shoddy.

Dave,

Thats crappy about your chin-spoiler. I recall a few years back, the city was offering compensation for those people's cars damaged by potholes during the spring thaw season. I wonder if they would do the same in your instance? Wouldn't hurt to put in a call to streets.

Now...If I may, let me offer, what I think is rational behaviour that we are seeing here. Not that anything that happens in our city has a valid reason to it anyway, but here goes.

Today, the temperature is on the plus side for the first time in almost two weeks. While it seems that the graders and scraping nothing but bare streets, I'd suggest that they are trying to scrape out the small sections of ice which have formed, and practically glued themselves to city streets. This is easier today, than in the past given that the ice has softened with the warmer temperatures. Valid? I dunno? But I like to believe it anyway.

The worst street ever is that one right in front of your firehall Dave... I wanted to come in and see ya a few days ago but I couldn't bring myself to drive up that curb... just insane!

To add to that, my whiteline x-brace is acting as a scraper underneath the car... its a rather annoying noise!
