Default Great Porter Cable Da Polisher Article

Hondagal!
Here is a great article from Better Car Care on the use and care of your Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher. It covers pad selection, application tips and care for your PC and application pads.

May also be good for the library.

Handy-dan article for sure. As an aside, besides saving you only time, from experience, I have found the results are just as good, if not better when Zaino products specifically are applied and removed by hand.

Simon,

What are you using? Perhaps different compounds achieve different results with the PC? Admittedly, Zaino is the only product I have used with the PC.

S2KSimon is definately up to date with the latest and greatest products. He should know what works.

For years I had been using the armstrong method of wax application and removal, not really knowing what I was doing. Last year I used a polisher to buff the polymer wax I was using and loved the finish. That prompted me to buy the best random orbital I could get for my S2K. It's funny now, that I don't really use it that much.

I purchased Zaino this spring for the first time and find it much better than anything I have used in the past. If you don't apply too much Zaino the application and removal is so very easy it isn't worth pulling out the PC.

Still the PC is perfect for swirl removal and polishing a distressed finish.
