Default Group buy to save on duties

Hey guys, I am buying an AP2 front bumper and lip from HardTopGuy, and I am shipping it to Sweetgrass, Montana to save on the duties. Here is the thread if you guys want to know more info on how it works:

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else wanted to buy anything from the States, and we all ship our stuff to the warehouse and make one big trip with a couple of trucks and we all chip in on gas to get our parts.

I am probably going to be ordering this week.

Jonanator:
It will be around $800 Canadian, but the bumper is not painted.

Have you tried talking to Joe at Ganley Honda (SanMarinoCpe on here)? I think he can get you a much better deal than that...$800 seems ridiculously high to me, especially unpainted

Well, I am including shipping and gas costs and taxes and exchange on that. You think it's still too high?

I will PM the guy.
Thanks Mikey, have yet to see you around C-town, which quadrant are you in?

Can't hurt to Check with Joe, he's a good guy. Or go to www.ganleyhonda.com and call him on the phone.

I'm in the SW, live in a condo around 12th ave and 10th st. I think you might see me out more around the city once I get my car back from the paint shop! Looking at Wednesday right now... I can't wait.

Where are you?

hmmmmmm... seems really high to me... Look on the following site

hxxp://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=S2000&catcgry 2=2005&catcgry3=2DR+S2000&catcgry4=KA6MT&catcgry5= BUMPERS

The price for an AP2 bumper is $221.62 unpainted USD.
Painted lip is going for $349.30 USD. Together that's $570.92

Assume exchange rate 8% (which is quite high. Should be closer to about 6% with Visa)
$616.59 CAD. Add on GST/Duty whatnot if bringing across border and it should still be cheaper.

Granted its being shipped from Rhode Island, but still, I'm sure shipping isn't that much, and its the first place I googled...

Edit: Missoula Montana has it at University Honda for 316.60. Shipping free to Dealer if ordered online @ estore.honda.com for the AP2 bumper only...

$640 unpainted?

I'm calling Joe. I don't remember that being my quote before. Maybe I got a "special" quote

In the future I would tell him the quote you got somewhere else and see if he can beat it, but sorry to point you in the wrong direction!

Ah my boss lives up in the NW so I'm up there every week or so at his house behind the Mall there. I need tips on where to go around here for a nice drive. Seems like there aren't any roads around that don't get packed with traffic, or aren't highly patrolled (or photo radar) for when I feel like opening it up briefly or just going for a nice cruise.

Well my buddy from my office ordered wheels today to his broker in Montana. He (or he and I) will be going down there sometime next week, maybe next weekend. Depending how quickly it'll be ready, pm me and maybe we can also pick up your stuff, especially if it can go straight to his broker. The broker charges peanuts. 5 or 10 bucks for a box like that.
