$3500. Canadian dollars. The package will include a CBR125R and a pair of Joe Rocket/Honda riding boots, pants, gloves and a riding jacket. No helmet, because these are such a personal choice thing. For most people, instead of just plunking down a stack of cash, it'll work out to right around a hundred and fifty bucks a month for 3 years.

The idea is to make it easier and cheaper to get into riding than it has been for a long long time.

Yay Honda!!!

Damn, that's cheap! Still fast enough to kill you, but good to learn on.

I'm going to the dealer intro of this bike on the 25th in Red Deer. I can't wait. It is going to be amazing.
Does this mean that Honda.ca will be listing their official MSRP prices then? there are no prices up on the site yet. Will you find out the MSRP when you are at the intro. If so, please keep this thread updated.
This is definately a neat little machine. I owned an R6 before I got the s2k, and it was definately a blast, but you really can't open it up all that often. Been thinking about getting a Honda Ruckus for a few years now, but this would be a cooler alternative. Great for zipping around town... and great price!

Delightfully, I'll be bringing 2 of these back from Red Deer on Wednesday. As we are Edmonton's only Hybrid dealer, we'll be the only dealer to have these for about the next month until everyone else gets theirs released. I'll keep everybody posted regarding the "official pricing" but $3500 is a very firm version of what the final price is going to be.

We'll likely be bringing them to "bike night" at Petro-Canada on 97th street and about 160th Ave on Wednesday if anyone wants to come out and visit...

After that, they'll be on display at the dealership!

So Gary, I notice on the honda.ca website that Honda is really pushing their new "Go" thing (CBR125, plus Gear: Jacket, Pants, Boots, Gloves). Will these bikes be sold away from the "Go" package? I mean, if everything is being sold for around $3,500... then these would would be really sweet if you could just buy the bike without gear for around $3,000.

Let be honest, you wouldn't buy jacket, pants, gloves and boots if you were riding a Honda Ruckus! (and it's nearly the same price).

Ok, I just got back from riding the little dear around. Some clarification. The price of the bike is $3399. If one goes for the "go" package, it's $149 a month for 3 years, that adds the gear and the extended warranty (the 3 years of warranty and roadside asstistance.)

Riding around in downtown Red Deer in a pack, we all felt like Nicky Hayden. Riding at 90% on anything else will getcha thrown in jail. Riding at 90% on a 125 and you still feel like you're really truckin', but you're doing roughly the speed limit! Even riding 2 up, she'll do a buck five!

I'm incredibly impressed.

Oh, and Monkei, to further address your question, a Ruckus is a scooter which tops out at 60km/hr. The 125R is a real motorcycle which does over 100km/hr...

I took it to Tim Horton's and was overwhelmed by the positive response by everybody. Its a very exciting time to be with Honda.

Yeah, I read a butt-load of articles on it today because I'm really interested. I still wouldn't buy the GO package with the gear, because of the price difference ($3,400 vs. $149/month - $5,400). But the price of the bike along is very tempting. I saw some pics of riders on the bike, and it made the bikes look small, but it didn't say how big the riders were. (I'm 5'8"... how did it feel for you Gary, and hockey_fan59... how tall are you guys?)

Gary - when will Honda Bike dealerships expect to see these in their showrooms for sale?
