Default If money wasn't an object, what would you get for your S2k?

This all started 'cos Woodson asked me if I owned an S2000, what mods would I do. I found the answer to be very long and waaay off topic for the thread I was in so I started this one. It sort of shows my love for Mugen goodies... Hopefully he had an unlimited budget in mind!

See Mugen Catalog.

Header, Titanium cannister exhaust system, air cleaner and air box as well as oil pan. (Doing the oil pan would of course allow me to change the bolts that Honda Europe is replacing. Mugen N1 Ecu (I prefer not having to fiddle with my street car to make it right, that's why I wouldn't go with a programmable system.) Mugen high pressure rad cap, radiator, t-stat and fan switch (If you're going to do one, you might as well do the whole whack, right?!)

For a limited slip diff, I'd probably see about getting a Quaife. I've been working with Hewland gearboxes from old indycars lately so I find it hard to argue with british racecar ingenuity. (Their streetcars suck but almost everything good in motorsports comes from England!)

Since I'm dancing through king-motorsports.com anyway, let's go with the Mugen N-zero suspension. Coilovers with all sorts of adjustments. (I'm sure I'd have fun learing what the hell they all did.) Oh and their hard bushing set so I can tell exactly what's happening each time I make an adjustment! They also offer 2 sway bars for each end of the car so I'd probably want all 4 so I could play with chassis tuning using them as well.

Better pads (I tend to have 2 really heavy feet. Burned the stock pads out of the R in one day at Race City and I believe the ITR has more brake per pound than the beloved S2k) Cryo treated slotted rotors (frozenrotors.com) Cryo treating sounded like a crock to me until we used them on one of the racecars. Instead of changing rotors every race weekend, we've gone 3 weekends with the same rotors. Oh, and SS lines filled with Motul 600. Race brake fluid absorbs too much moisture too quickly.

Wheels would be a tough choice. My choice would be based primarily on weight. I really don't care what they look like (I can grow to like almost anything that works well) So Either the Mugen MF10's or some nice light Volks.

Cosmetically, I love the car as it is. Stock rear spoiler, maybe stock chin spoiler. Oh yeah, a Mugen Carbon Fibre hard top for days when I want a roof.

I'm sure some would say supercharger but I like the car's power curve. It's not a drag racer and never will be so I wouldn't want one.
