Thumbs up Information on Turbo's in Canada

Well I originally stepped away from the idea of a turbo because I was always told that with a turbo you need to do tons of engine work and replace many components with upgraded parts to handle the load. As this may have been true with the cars that were in question I had never really discussed the S2K. So I started doing more reading on the whole turbo scene and I found that most ap1 owners are slapping turbos on stock F20c's and seem to have great results with the stock internals with just from what I see a change of the headgasket and some new head studs. With this being discovered I have decided this is the route I would like to take in the future and am in need of some information.

So this brings me to my questions:

1. I am looking to make anywhere from 360whp-420whp reliably, most say the GT30R is the best bet for my situation, but I look for anyones comments. I auto-x also and would be looking for the best setup for daily driving that can be ran at auto-x also.

2. Which turbo kit is most favored that can offer me the hp goals I am looking for, and price wise what would I be looking at for everything, including ecu, turbo timer, boost controller etc.

3. Where would be the best place in Canada to order such things from?

4. Fellow Winnipegers where would you recommend having the install done, tuning, dyno etc.

The more info I can get the better so all comments are greatly appreciated

Wall's or Motion would be the two places to tune/dyno.

Wow -- a turbo on an S2K puts you into an impossible class for auto-x. Your pax numbers are going to be obscene (a-mod?). Fun to drive, but not competitive any more.

If you stay stock, you have the most competitive car built for A-stock. Add a turbo and you are immediately out of your league.

I just ordered a bunch of equipment (Hoosier A6's, trailer hitch, trailer, Gendron sway bar). All of it very carefully designed to keep me in AS class.

There is a company located in Canada that has wicked deals posted on turbo kits and they now have one for the S!

I'll try and track it down, it was posted on here once before by someone in the states

I would definitely say going to Wall Performance. They are the best in the area for sure. I talked to them a couple of years ago about putting a turbo kit together on one of my S2k's and they suggested building your own kit. Not worth it to buy a kit. Just go talk to Bryan, tell him what your goals are and he'll make something work for you.

Not worth it to buy a kit as in you pay more than you would if you were to piece it together?

Just correcting an incorrect statement I saw in this thread: You won't be in A-mod for auto-cross. Assuming just forced induction, Canadian rules will put you in SP (BSP I believe?), not sure about SCCA rules.

It may be cheaper to piece together your own kit, but is it worth the extra time and PITA? A GOOD kit will come with pretty much everything you need right out of the box, no need to go hunting for parts.

Jackson Autosport may charge a bit more, but will do a kick-ass installation. They won't be able to dyno tune though. Use any of the other suggestions in this thread for that.

I've been searching and just can't find the damn thread that had the Canadian store. It was posted in the past 4 or 5 months.

Sorry, I shouldn't have said "impossible", that's too much of an exaggeration.

It looks like Winnipeg has switched over to SCCA rules.
I just checked the SCCA rules, and it appears that a turbo puts you into the SM2 class. That bumps your PAX from .842 up to .867
