What do you have for a front sway bar? I am running the Gendron bar from Small Fortune Racing. It tamed the car's handling a lot -- almost too much for my tastes, but my co-driver loves it.
cusco front and rear coming friday...

Great time had by all...some well prep'd cars out there and even better drivers. Although i hit a cone and was DQ'd on my 1st session, i managed to man handle the car into doing some good things and eventually came out with this:

3rd - Race category and i believe 5th overall (5/24)

The car didnt feel very confident, but im happy with how it went. I know there is still much speed to be had and i think much of that is from later braking.

Vids to follow

---------------------------------------------------------

Race Tire
1 - Trent Oster - race pre'd FC
2 - Alex Espinoza - turbo 944 on race tires
3 - Ian O'Donnell - s2000 on re01r - "they say race tires"

Street Tire
1 - Mitch Lalonde - killer z06/07?
2 - Dean Chorzempa - turbo miata
3 - Larry Leung - ITR
Give those guys a slap for me. RE01R's are definately NOT race tires. They have a tread wear rating of 140 or 180 depending on the tire size and as such are allowed in SCCA Street Touring category. That's a pretty good way to guage whether something is a street tire or race tire.

If they're gonna call the Bridgestones race tires, they have to also do the same for the Advan Neova, Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec, and likely the new Kumhos that will be out soon, as well as the the azenis 615. They're all similar tires, and the Bridgestones aren't even the fastest out of that bunch.

Just because a tire has "R" in it doesn't mean it's an "R compound"

Although i guess you would have been 3rd wherever you ran anyway, i believe.

Nice work! And that's a pretty neat trophy.

^bingo bingo bingo.

Yah at the end of the day it didnt matter, but i cannot believe 140 is an "R" compound equivalent. I know the line has to be drawn somewhere, but how about 140 and over is street.

Nice job! And I love the taped hood as well -- I have no idea what they were thinking. Did they say what their rules were for race vs street?

Next time, show up in some real race tires and move up higher on that podium.
