Unhappy The Larches have turned

In case some people don't know what "Larches" are, they are a variety of evergreen trees that aren't so EVERgreen. They turn color just like trees with leaves and their needles fall off. The turning of the Larches have always symbolized Fall and the "not so far off" winter.

Notice the greentrees? Those are "normal" evergreens.
Here's a close up of a Larch:

ps. I never even heard of an evergreen that turned color and went naked till about 20 years ago.

Whoa there!

Looks like some snow at lower elevations as well! Where was that? I'd say what with overnight lows hovering around the 0C mark, it won't be long until most trees drop their leaves.

There's hopin' for an Indian Summer yet

That's around the Highwood Pass. Larches only grow above 6000' elevation.

Nobody enters their location anymore. You usually get something like "Right Here" and with a flag of their country of origin. Really helpful when browsing the For Sale forum.

Luckily, he's only got 5 posts total on this forum and it was easy to figure out he's from the Houston area. That's quite a change ................. from hurricane conditions to 107.
