Lost my cell last week and was wondering other than blocking the line is there any way to track if someone trys to reactivate. Also what's the cost of getting a replacement phone. I'm unfortunately just into a 2 year plan with Rogers. I understand they have a lost or stolen phone program where you can get refurbished phones. Can you buy a cell phone privately and have it reactiviated?

 

Make sure you report it to the service provider. They will know if there is an attempt re-activation, only with their service.

 

Ian, go to the Bargain Finder. You will see dozens of phones for sale. Prices vary so look carefully. Make sure that when and if you find one, that before you give money over, you arrange to meet with the previous owner at the cellphone store to activate it. You will then know immediately if the phone is stolen and if it works.
