haha, no, but there is always tons of crap on that road. Last summer, some crap blew off the back of a truck (I assume he was going to the dump), I wasn't following close, but I got my first test of how nimble the car is. It was quite fun. People should tie the shit down.

I won't be bringing my car out for a while yet.

I am glad you are happy with the work done by Taylors

Update on my car.

Had an incident at Three Flags last night, went through a fence...The end result is me needing a new front bumper cover, headlights, new fender liner, repair on the upper section of the windshield frame, a new windshield and either a really good buff to the rest of the car or a repaint. All repairs are coming out of my pocket...so...I figure I'll use this chance and do an AP2 front end conversion. Parts are my choice, so I'll probably be ordering my items through Hard Top Guy.

To put it simply enough, I failed at the slalom. Fell for the same trap as most beginners with the car. Felt the rear step out a little bit, so I let off, and then quickly stepped on again thinking the car would take longer to regain grip. Car snapped back and before I knew it I was sliding on the grass and not slowing down. 3 seconds later I ended up on the other side of the chain link fence. Top down, so the fence essentially bitch slapped me.

Shiet, hope you didn't get messed from that. Cars are material and can always be replaced, health is something much more valuable..

I'm still feeling really sketchy about being behind the wheel. It'll be a while before I can regain the car's trust again. The dash cam revealed the speedometer at 47km/h while I was going under the fence, though I imagine I was doing 55-60km/h. I'll be off the track for a good while after this one.

My parents and brothers all gave me an earful when I got home that night, and with good reason. I've been left on my own to take care of what I've caused, which is perfectly understandable, and frankly, something I'd rather do myself anyways. The car should hopefully be going into the shop this week with parts ordered by the end of the week.

Photos of the damage.

I'm 19 going on 20, I'm a clot because I drove my beloved S2000 through a fence...but I survived! Lmao.

I think you should keep going to the track; it's easy to get discouraged, but stick with it and just take it easy, you'll still have fun. Trust me, I've been there. I built a pretty serious race car starting at around 19 and occasionally took it autocrossing, and a couple spins taught me to relax a bit. Of course when the diff gave out I was pretty choked after spending a LOT of effort putting in a Cusco RS 2way. Even with the S2k I scratched up the wheels in a gravel trap my first time at Strato, but I just saw it as a reminder to chill a bit. I'm glad to stick it out though, I have a lot of fun when I go.

If you stop tracking, there's really no point in owning a sports car and modding it, unless hard parking is your scene heh.

^agreed. Have instructors come along more often initially. This car is a handful even without torque and one that demands attention and respect at all times.

That is part of the reason I love it though.
