Hey folks,

With Christmas part season fast approaching, and since we are looking at a weekend date for the meet, we should start discussing venues now to avoid disappointment. Are we all agreed on December 14? Any suggestions for venue?

I have no qualms in calling around and making reservations once we agree on a place, and have a rough idea of numbers.

Regards
Asif

I PM'd everyone in our group this link, so what you see is what interest there is except for maybe a few who do not check their email too often.
Let's go with the 14th. Since it's a Sunday night, we may not have to compete with too many others. Shall we aim for 7 PM? Since we'll be spending money like crazy already, maybe something not too pricey might suit most?
My suggestions would be something like:
1. Chinese dinner buffet (one price all you can eat).
2. Steak place like Tony Romas or Outback.
3. Italian place like Olive Garden.
These are only ideas and do not constitute anything written in stone.

Here's another suggestion; Montanas?

-Not too pricey
-A few convenient locations
-Menu to suit everyone's tastes
-Great seating arrangements for large groups
-Casual atmosphere..no suit/tie necessary!

Chili's
Joey Tomatoes on Barlow (I like the "atmosphere" )
The Keg (beef rocks)
Red Lobster (I just love those damn biscuits)
Glory of India (best butter chicken ever)

Japanese food? Ichiban has all you can eat for $20 on Sundays
Parking is going to be a little tight though (it's on McCleod Tr.)
There another "all you can eat" sushi place on 16 ave across from Sait, never been there though.

Sultan's Tent (never been there, but it sounds interesting).
