Ohhh man!! Well.. This may be biased, but get a BIKE!!! But, before you do, if you've never taken any professional training, go see these guys:

There is nothing like riding a bike. It is a super interactive experience. And you think your car is fast??? No way. I've had the opportunity to get a supercharger quite a few times, and somehow a new bike always ends up in my garage instead.

You got my vote for a bike...

Last August when I was in Edmonton, I was able to borrow my friend's RT and
rode around the city on it. Man, that was a very exhilirating feeling.
I would consider getting one but I will have to get a very very good
divorce lawyer.

I don't know how much it costs in Canada but here it starts at about $17k.
So for a very well equipped one it will be about $20k for sure.

Spend the $200 to $300 on the school and see what you think. They'll provide everything for you, and if you pass, you'll have a class 6 licence when you're done. If you don't pass, well maybe that should tell you something too and help you make your final decision.

If I were living in calgary I'd vote for bike.

But in red deer there's no where nice to ride, so I'd go supercharger here.

They provide you with a bike to learn on. Definitely the best way to learn is to go to one of these schools

I'm fighting with the same dilemma right now myself. Right now i'm leaning towards the bike as well. Spent lots of time on cruisers and i'm very tempted to finally get into a rocket. The CBR600RR or maybe R6 are really making me think!
