Mr Clean Auto Wash
I'm scratching my head on this one , washed the sti this morning , had it at namao air base for an autocross yesterday , it wasent dirty, just road dust, pulled it out of the garage at 7.30 hosed it down with cold water, filled bucket half full of cold water, add 3 oz of mistermoto ph contolled pink soap washed each side with a wash mitt, rinsed with cold water, turned the setting to autodry polymer soap spray , sheeted it all over, turned to rinse setting and flushed the car real well, drove it in the garage, left for work at 7.47 came home at 1 backed it out , and there wasent a mark anywhere, It May well be the water? the statement about the guy washing his car in the sun was my example of what not to do, the unit would never work in a case like that, when any of use finds something that works or does not work to our satisfaction ,we owe it to each other to post the info, and want to hear the negatives as well
Calgary water is a joke. In red deer I can just about let my car air dry without water spots. In calgary I had to literally rinse a section, dry it, then rinse the next section (about 4 or 5 on the s2000, as small as it is).
I'm not sure the Mr. Clean stuff is too useful there.

Bringing this thread up from the dead.
Bought the kit today from Walmart. Cost $27.50 ($27.00 at London Drugs). Decided to try on the bike.
This is what I tried initially: rinse, z7 soap and sponge, rinse, then mr clean water filter only. The water will not sheet. Turns out that for the water to have the sheeting action, I have to use the mr clean soap too.
So poured some of the soap in the nozzle, spray the soap over the bike. Rinse the bike. Then mr clean water filter. The water sheets over the surfaces. Eventually, the water started drying. Didn't see any water spots on the windshield, mirrors, and fairings (my bike is yellow so may be harder to see them).
So the spray with soap/rinse/mr clean water filter steps is pretty much the same as drying your car with a leaf blower or chamois or whatever. I guess it depends if you're too lazy to dry your car.
I'm curious how much the refills are though and how long they last.

you guys in Alberta with your right-wing bylaws crack me up. Only in Alberta have I seen someone get a ticket for jaywalking across the street.
