I did that once at a mall. Came out another door and couldn't find my car. I could feel the sweat beading up on my forehead.

Those who have experienced this can tell you, it's one of the most scariest experiences EVER!

I completely forgot that at lunch I went to the bank to make a deposit and on the way back, the lot that I usually park at was full so I parked at a completely different lot. After a hectic work day, my brain was on overload and I didn't remember parking elsewhere from my usual spot.

You can only imagine how bad I FREAKED! My friend had the top 10-12 of the SHADIEST people in Edmonton start shaking down people for the half hour I thought the car was missing. Finally, a co-worker ran back to my building laughing his ass off and asked me if I went out to lunch....

Right then and there, I remembered where I parked...Needless to say, I was RELEIVED! It's amazing how the human mind works and how creative it gets when in panic mode!
I started thinking of all sorts IMPOSSIBLE scenarios that are completely unrealistic.
Anyhow, car is found!

...I did that a few years back at the Woodbine mall - so I know exactly what you mean. It had a reputation of having cars stolen from the lot. I thought I was a victim, until I clued in that I went into the mall via a different door!
