Default My shiny undercarriage.

Hey folks,

Tonight, after servicing my steering rack/cv boots (Thanks Dave), I started on something that only someone as obsessive and deranged as myself would do. I started detailing the undercarriage of the S. Actually, brushing away the cobwebs is what got me started

It was the admonishing glances of my fiancee that put an end to it, but I was able to snap a pic before putting one of the wheels back on. Take a look. Don't laugh; I'm actually quite proud of myself. The undercarriage is now as meticulous as the rest of the car

PS-I'll upload more pics once I have made mends with the significant other

Dear LORD, man! I applaud you for your efforts but don't you realize that the more pristine you make your car, the less likely you are to want to get it dirty? You're never going to drive that thing now.

Dave,

I know that you are right. I'll never want to drive the darn thing. But I know I should. Surely periods of sitting (as illustrated by the many many spiderwebs) can't be good for the car.

I'm looking forward to the World of Wheels in February, if I can get the car 100%. While I realize it isn't a "classic" in the typical sense of the word, I'm hoping to put a run on some of those older, more experienced fellas with their immaculately detailed cars and trucks. Whaddya think?

Asif, I see you and I think alike

Mind sharing your method of undercar detailing? I had thought to wipe things down and then spray with that engine detailing spray.
