nsx in autotrader
I would be very careful on that car. The NSX wasn't available in blue until '97, so it had to have been repainted (unless Canada got different colours than the US, but I doubt it since there were probably 6 NSX's in Canada produced for the entire '96 model year)
The color is Monte Carlo blue. Koala is right, it was not available until model year 1997. I had thought this car was a 98' ?? This car has been for sale for quite some time. Last I knew, it was still in Vancouver, it's not a local car. Unfortunately there are NSX's out there that have undergone the "frankenstein treatment" and given a color change, why, I don't know. The NSX goes through one of the most rigorous paint process's in the industry at the factory in Togichi. Why mess with a good thing (and the value of your car).
Oh, it is monte carlo then? I know it looked like it, but I assumed that since they claim its a '96 it might just be a random blue colour.
But I agree, the paint (even on the older 91's), is awesome... no idea why anyone would mess with it.

That is a very nice car. I drove a 91 NSX a little while ago and it was fantastic. I considered buying one but I oppted for the S2000 because of several reasons. Anybody else have the same type of experience?

Ya, I was looking at 91 NSX too. In the end, paying $40k for a 13 year old car seemed somewhat obscene. Also, having a warranty was a big factor too.
I love the NSX, but the s2000 was a better choice, and I love it.
I also find that old nsx's are becoming more and more common place.

I sold my 91' NSX in September 03' and bought a 911. They are great cars. Honda has let the NSX go on far to long without any major revisions (more power needed long ago) and have lost all market share in this competitive category. The two Calgary dealers combined have not put a new one on the road since 98'. I think that says it all. It really is a shame, as the NSX has long been Honda's technical showpiece (the S2000 more so in recent years). I think the next generation NSX has to have at least 400 HP to remain in the mix. The new 911 GT3 makes 385HP/ 284 LB of torque out of 6 cylinders with an 8200 RPM redline. We know Honda could certainly better that.
