One last fall Pic before hibernation.
Hey folks,
This last weekend while we were blessed with great weather and awesome fall colours, I cleaned up the S one last time, before tucking it away for it's winter slumber.
Here's one of the many pics that I took...

Beautiful! I really think you should take off the windshield tape since you leave the hardtop on.. it would really blend it all in quite nicely!
My next S2000 (an '04 once I accumulate enough kilometres on the '01 to make the trade-in more justified) will definitely have a hardtop.

I prefer driving around with the hardtop on, then with it off and the roof down. Gives the car a whole different character.
As for the windshield tape, many have suggested it to me. I won't remove it for four reasons, the first being primary.
1) I want to retain the originality of the car. No mods, no aftermarket gadgets or add ons. If the car came with the tape, then so it will stay that way.
2) I worry about the colour/shade difference underneath. It is unlikely, but possible.
3) Many who have removed the tape say that they met with poor paint quality beneath it. Others have reported scratches or gouges in the metal that were nicely covered up with the tape.
4) It protects the area from rock chips almost as good as that 3M/Ricochet clear paint protection.

Haha...not to worry. When the time is right, I'll likely still have it.
