Default Painted Calipers

Has anyone local painted their calipers (or purchased coloured ones)? I am mildly interested in red calipers...they would look good with the new wheels. I have seen some pics posted on other forums...doesn't look like too much work (for someone who knows what they are doing).

I love coloured calipers, but I think it's a little ghetto on 'plain' brakes.

Is there a brake upgrade that will fit behind the oem wheels?

You should be able to get aftermarket drilled/slotted rotor's equal in size to the OEM rotor's that will give you the look you desire. You would then just paint your calipers to get the full effect. If you want an aftermarket "bigger" brake upgrade package which would include larger rotors/calipers (Wilwood, Stoptech, Brembo, etc.) you may run into problems with caliper clearance with the 17" wheel and certainly will with the 16's. The aftermarket packages tend to be very expensive as well.

The smallest wilwood's fit the stock wheels with a 3 to 5 mm spacer as far as I know.
