303 convertible top cleaner, and 303 vinyl protectant... i think they're at zellers. They'll make it look pretty damn black afterwards

Yep... rinse the top down with your hose... spray the cleaner all over liberally, use a clean cotton towel or wash mitt, agitate it nicely, rinse it clean, dry it as best as you can, then follow up with the protectant.

For the protectant I suggest spraying it onto a cotton towel and then wiping the top down with the damp towel. if you spray it directly onto the top, it doesn't go on very evenly!

I've been using the 303 the past year or so and it works pretty good. Makes the top look like new. However, before that, I used to use "low gloss" ArmourAll and it worked just as good.
Just remember to apply it with a cloth like Dylan said and NOT too heavy so that it doesn't get "runny" wet. Then leave to top up overnight to let it dry out completely. Do this AFTER you wash the car so that you don't have to wash to car too soon again. This will allow more time for the stuff to dry. Otherwise, some people have noted that if they wash the car before it's dried, it will run all over your car and make a mess. I've never had this problem, so that must be what some guys are doing wrong.

huge difference! I used to use it on my '01 all the time. I don't think I've ever used it on my '04 yet... probably should take my hardtop off and clean the soft top some day soon.

Plastic polish be it Maquiar's or something like Plexus can leave a white stain on the black top material. Is this what you see?
