Default To Repaint or Full Detail

What should I do? The bumpers needs to be painted and everything else needs a good cut and polishing due to extensive swirls and scratches. Or should I go the whole 9 yards and repaint the car stock color?

I want to save money, but I also want it looking tip top shape like new and I'm not sure a full detail will do that...I'm confused.

I would recommend posting pictures and asking this question in the wash and wax forum. There are a bunch of helpful guys in that forum.

Indeed... you'll probably find that the stock clear coat can take quite a bit of polishing before you'll wear through it... so I'd probably suggest just repainting what is necessary and getting the rest detailed professionally, possibly by the same shop that does your paint work?

Oh there's a wash and wax forum...damn I must have missed it. This forum is too big I haven't even gone through everything yet haha!

Yeah I wasn't sure how thick the clearcoat is on the car, so I didn't want to get a professional cut and polish to find out there isn't enough to cut away from. Thanks for the help, I'll post pictures over there right away.

There's no replacement for the original paint. Avoid at all if it is possible there are some waxes that will take care if the marks.
