Default revenue canada

just received in the mail that i owe revenue canada for last year. nine months after i filed my return. need to pay by the end of jan or i incur even more interest. who else but the fed's can get away with this stunt! i believe their agenda is to drive us out of the country or see if we'll revolt. what a load of crap. should send that back to them. taxed everything else to pay for their mistakes. no need to respond to this. just illustrating another example of our government working hard for us.

The whole taxation system stinks. Why should we have to work till June before we can call it "OUR" money?

But don't worry, income tax is only a temporary measure. Once they get that pesky first world war done and over with, we'll go back to normal.

^ That's the trouble with politicians. They spew out all kinds of garbage about what they'll do but as soon as they get in, they realize they gotta keep the taxes coming in and keep it escalating to ensure that their DOUBLE DIPPING FAT CAT pensions are well taken care of. I wish I could work for only a few years and get that kind of pension for the rest of my living days. They can't reduce spending for the rest of society and not reduce their own income. NEVER HAPPEN. Then you have all those little beaurocrats in the tax department who are given powers of GOD and they start thinking they can go on witch hunts and linchings.
KEDO, aren't you glad you got me going?

Would this be called the "DP" scenario?

Taxes are inevitable...or so they say...I just wish they would spend our money more wisely. I hope that I (or someone in my family) never need serious surgery but if I do the health care system is something that I think is worth paying for...and our public school/college/university education system as well. ....and nice smooth (but twisty) roads for my car!

I don't mind money well spent, but the waste that governments are guilty of (regardless of party in power) is criminal.

i agree that collectively people will willing pay their share for a better way of life. the problem is the people who make the decisions to achieve this don't treat this money like they earned it. i work in the education and my wife in the health care system. i can site examples of how the general public does not know of the gross mismanagement of funds. these managers ask for more money to solve their problem. solution tax the people. people then need more disposable income to maintain their standard of living. cost of living goes up. see the cycle. somebody awhile back must of envisioned that a wheelbarrow full of money was going to be needed to buy a loaf of bread. he invented plastic!

What stunt? It sounds like they found some undeclared income. CCRA gets a copy of all your T-slips from the payors.

Yes, the federal government wastes a LOT of money.
