Default Rick's Mats

hi

new to this forum and everyone seems very helpful. thought i try to arrange something here to save a little cash.

I'm interested in Rick's Mats www.ricks2k.com/products/carpet.php

shipping to canada is about $34 usd and every other set of mats after that is $10 usd extra. i've already calculated that if we can order 4 sets of mats then shipping will be $16 usd. any sets after 4 then we would save $1 on each extra order. which i don't think is really worth it. i would like to get an order in soon as the stock mats do nothing for the carpet over the support beams. i've actually noticed that people like to step on top of that as they get in the car

anyways i would like to order them by June 25, 2005 as that is that day that xviper and I have arranged a lunch meet. that way you can give me a deposit first before i order them and we can also meet which should give you a little more assurance that I won't be running with your money. i require a deposit cause i don't want to be stuck with an extra set of mats if someone backs out.

just post here if your in and we can meet on june 25, 2005.

ps any taxes or duties are extra and will need to be paid when picking up the mats. i don't think it will be too bad as they claim to send it US Postal Services Air Mail. USPS fees are pretty good compared to UPS or any other shippers.

Thanks

You should make some temporary mats for in the meantime. A few of us made winter mats made that you could trace. Your cost would be maybe 5 bucks for materials.

Home Depot or Rona. They are made of hall runner material - a kind of carpet on one side and rubber backing on the other. You can use mine as a template. They're a kind of neutral grey color. I still haven't taken mine out. You can see them when we meet up.

cool.... it's just too bad no one has made a molded rubber mat to fit the s2k. one with a lip around the edge to catch stuff.

i bought a trunk tray liner for my crv from honda which has a lip all around it and can hold liquids if anything spilled.

Even in Calgary, not enough people drive their S's through inclement weather for a company to justify making such a product, especially on the world wide level. Those of us who do, simply invent stuff.
