Dave,

She was a good'un wasn't she? Were you there? We were the second unit out (before you guys actually ) and helped with evacuation and what not. I counted 3 houses which I deemed "totalled" and at least a dozen more that will need significant repairs.

It truly is disheartening to see all that $$, just disappear within minutes. I don't think it took more than 15 minutes for the two worst hit homes to burn right down to the basement.

I took a few blurry pics with my cell phone...I'll see about posting them here.

Play safe!

No, I'm on my days off. Our hall would have been the second alarm. As exciting and thrilling as these things are, I've had my share of them. Too much destruction, too much heartache for the homeowners. I'm just glad noone got hurt. Good job on the evac.

I agree. With an economy as hot as ours (no pun intended), many of these would-be new home owners have been waiting months for their new homes to be completed. It was quite upsetting actually to see these new homes come to nothing within a matter of moments.

Take care bud
