S2k's garage buddy
It's the "magic" of different light conditions...first shot is indirect sunlight (morning). second shot flourescents, 3rd shot direct sunlight (midday). The actual color is Silver Grey Metallic.
Looks kinda like my garage used to look like
How do you like the M3 compared to the S2k? I love my M3, but everytime i get behind the wheel of a S2k i really miss it. Nothings more exhilarating then getting rowing through the gears in an S2k with the top down
. Where abouts did you pick up your M3? I got mine from out east.
Yes the rumors are true about prices being cheaper down south than they are here. People are always worried about warranty and such, but i think that is much less of deal than people make it out to be.

The M3's just passing through...the S is a keeper. Bought it in California, and I have a letter from BMW Canada verifying they'll honor the US warranty (although not the free scheduled service). Warranty is an issue for Subaru, Honda/Acura...I also have an email from Subaru saying they don't honor US warranty, and Honda Canada said flat out on the phone that they don't. Toyota/Lexus says they don't differentiate between US and Canada when it comes to warranty; it's a North American Warranty.
The M3 is quick, but too big and too heavy for my tastes. For it to really shine, you have to run it pretty hard, at which point you're at lose your licence speeds...the S is slower, but I can run it harder regularly, which I like. Overall, I'd say the S has better balance...and I really love a convertible. The M3 convertible is an overweight pig (and ugly to boot) so that wasn't an option. We're all so spoiled by the S gearbox, that getting into anything else with a manual requires lowering one's expectations. With that in mind, the M3 6-speed is a perfectly adequate gearbox, if a bit imprecise and with longish throws...beats the SMG which IMO is crude, noisy and just plain silly. With Audi's DSG as the benchmark, I can't belive BMW can still sell cars with SMG.

Really? You think SMG is that bad? I've never driven an Audi with DSG, but i think the SMG II is pretty nice. You planning on reselling the M3 up here? What are the specs and price you'd be asking? Feel free to PM me that info.
