The current suspension is made by Showa already.
The mugen one is made by Showa.

If you want the best, Bilstein and Ohlins are it.

Showa mostly makes OEM stuff, but they do have highend models that are equal to any Bilstein or Ohlins -- but if someone's done all the legwork for me to figure out what works great on the track, I'm just as happy to get them.

Seems pretty interesting....pretty sure we will not see any of the "special" CR's

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The car is already here in the US before NEW YORK in Torrance for a few weeks now. Currently here is what I understand:

Honda has focused on the Weight to Power ratio:

1. Deletion of the SoftTop
2. Hardtop instead of softtop.
3. Hardtop can be taken off.
4. 3 different colors are offered. (Never seen before in the US)
5. Seat are cloth, with yellow stitches
6. Revised wheels
7. Tuned suspensions to OUTPERFORM AP1, AP2 in laptimes
8. Odometer cluster will be revised
9. Centerconsole is revised
10. Shortshifter is included (I can't confirm this)
11. Bodykit* (All they told me, is that the Aerodynamics of the new model will produce MUCH more downforce on the car) Don't think of Body kit, as like a "body" kit like J's, ING or anything crazy like that.
12. Car will be lighter
13. The frame will be stronger* (I don't know what they mean yet)

BC outlook:

Only 2000 CR will be made, of the 2000 CR, only 200 will be fully STRIPPED. The 200 STRIPPED will be a collectors item. (This # is subject to change, but that's todays info)

Based on what we know from Shawn Church and TOV, and my personal S2000's, the AP2 is stronger than the Ap1. (I'm not going to justify myself to anyone, and if anyone can't accept this then let it be. I owned an 00, 01, 04 and the dyno proves it all)

With the WEIGHT reduction, we know that this car will be more responsive, and gain some power as Honda focuses on Power to Weight ratio. In addition to the revised suspension, we all know that the ECU is reflashable w/ Toda.

Ap2+ Lighter car, + hondata reflash + toda headers...

= One Fast Track Car.
