seized lug nut
I'm trying to take my volks off for the winter, and I have 1 or more seized nuts... I've bent my socket wrench trying to remove this thing.... and I more than maxed out my 150 ft-lb torque wrench trying to get this one particular nut off.
any ideas? I might just take it to a tire shop, but I'd like to avoid that...

Update: Dave is the best, he gave me some suggestions and I managed to get the nuts loose finally.
Suggestion: If you use aluminium lugs, take them off periodically and wipe off all of the corrosion. The metal used for the studs and the metal used for these types of lug nuts are not compatible... I didn't think it would be an issue as last season I changed wheels even later into the year and the nuts came off with ease.
If I still have this car next season I'll be sure to take the nuts off every couple of months to keep up on the corrosion issue.

How did you get it off anyways?

1) Some liquid wrench
2) Standing on the wrench while holding onto the fender lip and softtop of the car
3) Slightly tightening a nut and then trying to loosen it again
4) Swore a lot

Oh well, as long as it does the job right?

Isn't liquid wrench on a lugnut a bad idea? I'd be afraid of them shaking themselves loose after...
I had some badly seized lugs on my Miata about a year ago; Kal Tire couldn't get them off, even. I got them off by putting the torque wrench onto the nut so that you'd push down on the arm to loosen, put a pipe over the handle to extend it out about another two feet, then I made quick, short stomps on the end. Worked like an impact wrench and cracked them all off pretty easy.
