Default Short-term leases

Hey guys, long time no talk... I've been super busy with work.

My lease is up on my CX-7 in about a month here and I'm looking to try and find something really short term. I need a vehicle for basically 9 months... is anyone here aware of short-term leases that are actually *that* short? I've been trying to find someone's lease to takeover but I can't seem to find any decent cars out west that meet my criteria.

I'm finding a lot of stuff out in Ontario and Quebec but I really don't want the hassle of shipping a car out here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Why not just buy a used car and then sell it after 9 months? You'll come close to breaking even. I think any short term lease is going to be painfully expensive.

Leasing a vehicle at 350/ month over 9 months is gonna cost you 3150 bux. Like th above post, just find a good deal on a used car and sell it after 9 months. Even if you sell it for a thousand or two less then what you bought it at, your still saving money in the end over leasing. If you find a decent deal though and take care of it, you could possibly drive a vehicle for 9 months and it cost you nothing.

thanks guys, I've found a good solution... didn't realize my dad's lease is up on his vehicle next fall, so I'm going to lease a new car again and have him take it over from me... makes the most sense since I can't really find much.

So now it's off to search for a good deal on something new!

I did find a great '07 RX-7 for $350 a month (guy was offering a 4k cash incentive on it) with only 10 months left on the lease but unfortunately it's out in Ottawa and I really don't want to bother with freight and all that fun stuff.

The M Coupe is a great winter car already

In all seriousness it has been better on the ice and snow than my S2000's were. I suspect that is from the added electronic gizmos.
