Default silicon for the seals?

Anyone knows of a prefered brand/type of silicon grease I should use on the seals where the top meets the windshield?

I happened to be reading the owner's manual last nite briefly and it mentioned something about that.

There is no "preferred" brand. Of course, Honda has their stuff but it's very pricey. I get mine from any GM parts counter. It's called Silicone Emulsion. Every car make will have their own offering. Phone around for price if that's a concern for you. The GM stuff comes in a small bottle with its own applicator. Brush it on sparingly and be the time you've finished all the seals, go back to the begining and lightly wipe off the excess (it'll appear white-ish). You've got the windshield, the soft top seals that touch the side windows. The trunk seal and there's also a hood seal but these are not as important since they don't get the same sort of exposure. There might even be a seal around the doors, too, but I don't bother with those.

Honda's stuff is Shin-Etsu grease. $11.69 from our sponsor, H & A. A tube will last just about forever.

Certainly no offense... I was just providing a price reference point and a possible source.

I'm sure it could *help* but that might require the replacement of those striker plates.
