Default some summertime shots of the car!

Just posted in the main gallery too, but thought I'd share with the locals too:

I just absolutely love this shot of 808_S2k's car (sorry dude, had to link to it):

http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1132/...f90a6bb7_b.jpg

Hope it comes through, if not, check out page 10 of the Official RPF1 thread:

Anyway, love that shot. Longer story is that in the past week or so, my condo building's garage door's been acting up, or rather the remote has been acting up, so I haven't been able to get in. Which meant that I had to park the car, go into the garage and open it manually, and then drive it in. Well, one convenient place that I parked while I went in to open the door piqued my interest, thought it'd make a good shot.

So today, the girlfriend's new camera arrived, so I snapped these:

I'm no photographer, not even hugely interested in photography other than seeing nice photos. wink.gif So these are point and click.

Car is lowered on Konis and Ground Controls, only about 15mm drop all around. UK alignment, a hair over 2* camber in the rear, and just 1* up front. RPFs are the usual 17x8 and 17x9, +45 offset all around. 215s up front, 245s out back in standard AP2 tire sizes. The tires rub justa-justa on the rear arches, and only on the plastic part from the bumper. And only on big big bumps, but I did scrape the bottom of the car last week - viciously large speed bump in a parking lot, thank goodness I was only going about 15km/h if that.

Tanabe exhaust, forget the name of it now, it's the mellow sounding one... wink.gif Can't see the 4.57 gear install that will soon be out for 4.44s as the gear whine is driving me nuts, like I'm visiting the dentist whenever I'm at part throttle... wink.gif

Nice! I am not a fan of lowering (looks vs functionality), but yours is the nicest and cleanest I have ever seen. Nice job!

Amuse lip? Nope, not me! OE replica front lip on my car. I wanna get an OE style rear wing, but in carbon, or carbon kevlar.

As for the lowering...I've still got loads of suspension travel due to the bespoke Ground Control top mounts - they're one of the major reasons I went with Ground Controls. They relocate the upper mount upwards an inch, so any lost suspension travel is ...well, effectively not lost!

But otherwise I concur...some guys have unbelievably low S2000s...I don't know how they can cope. If some of those guys from California or Miami or wherever drove up here, their cars would be toast in about 5 minutes...

Anyway, thanks everyone for the comments! My attention is now turning to the interior, with a couple of JPM alcantara pieces on the way. Black with red stitching...love the colour combo. Centre console cover and hand brake lever. Woot!
