I typically dislike driving the QE2 to Calgary. So. Boring.
Driving down with Shane and Matt on Monday morning at an indicated 128-130kmh or so. When we stopped, they said they were showing 120kmh on their speedos. Now with my 4.44s and the AP2 tranny, I had to use Modifry's Yellow Jacket speedo calibrator. Previously, I had only set it up with the 4.44s and the AP1 tranny, and only at relatively low speeds, ie. sub 100kmh.
So Shane and Matt's comments got me thinking that I should recalibrate the speedo. I took some tools with me, and on the drive back yesterday, I just mucked around with the settings. Eventually, I got it to read the exact same as my GPS, so now I'm quite happy. At 125kmh, I'm pulling about 4500rpm. Anyway, the boringness of the QE2 proved useful, as I just sat there driving in a straight line and kept adjusting the Yellow Jacket.
