My birthday presents, courtesy of my lovely wife, finally arrived: a windscreen deflector and a Weathertech sun shade.
Last summer I managed to break my previous windscreen, a full sized Rick's piece, tinted. Left it down and closed the top on it. Boo. Finally got around to getting a replacement - this time from JS2K.com. Took a bloody long time to arrive, and the seller wasn't that communicative unfortunately. However, the price is a lot better than Rick's, so I guess you pays for what you get.
I have sunshades for almost all our other cars when they sit in the sun, so I figured I should get one for the S2k too.
And with that, I don't think I'll spend any more money on the car.......have to start saving for a 997!! Anyone want to buy a nicely modified, SOS supercharged S2k?

I've never really liked the shape of the 911 cabrios, especially the 996. The 997 cabrio looked a lot better to me, but I desire the coupe.
After having driven top down so long now with the S2k, it would be nice for a change - let alone being able to drive around a bit more anonymously, not having to deal with red necks and generally envious/stupid people. I suppose I could get a hardtop, but I'm really keen on a 997. Perfect spec, would, of course, be a GT3, but being more realistic for the medium term, I would really love a dark coloured one, has to be an S, probably a C2S, 6-speed, Sport Chrono package, sport seats. Rear wiper would be nice, full leather interior nice, multi function steering wheel nice too. I recently bought a book setting out the entire development history of the 911, so I must have the 911 sickness indeed!!

I saw a white with red interior Boxster on Thursday night (981 - the all-new model) and it looked and sounded very, very nice. Every time I drive top-down in the S2000, I appreciate the ability to enjoy the weather all the more. I think I'll stick with a convertible next, which means Boxster makes more sense than a 997 (to me). The 981 Boxster looks 100% better than a 997 Cabrio, to me.
That said, a 997 C2S with 6MT is pretty tempting, and prices are roughly the same as a used 981 will be in two years, probably. We'll see!

Finally getting my car back after a long stint of captivity getting some work done although there's still heaps I need to do when I get it back. My mate who's tuning it has just given me the numbers and said on his dyno it rolled out 384 whp so I'm stoked to see what it feels like since the last time I drove it was tuned to only 330 who.
But when I do get it back, I'll need to fix the top because my old 2001 plastic window one was junk but the install of the glass window didn't go so smoothly so I need to adjust the bar because it won't let the top go down all the way...not even close unless you manually pull the bar down! It gets stuck at like 65% so this is a must do.
Also need to change one of the fog lights in the ek housings but the way I installed them I'll have to take the entire bumper off! Booo!!!
Finally, need to install a J's rear diffuser that I'm ordering this week so all in all, a few things to do!!
Oh yeah, but the downside is that I'm in Nova Scotia at the moment because I did a cross country drive and won't be home for another week at the least! Double boo but it should be well worth it once I get home! I hope!

Looks great!
My 2008 is sold, as of Monday, so I'm looking at a 997S instead. Drove a 2010 Grand Sport Vette but the steering wasn't connected enough and the seats sucked (great handling, brakes and engine, though!). A Z06 is probably more responsive but we'll see. I'm still focused on a 997S - just seems to be the car that works best for me (great steering, great brakes, plenty fast and looks good PLUS it has seats that hold you in place).

That's without helmet but _with_ seat cushions? Nice.
