Default Spugen Exhaust

Well I got my Dual N1/Ti Tip Spugen exhaust installed today.

Good things

-Very, very deep rumble
-Quiet at idle
-Amazing sound
-Once in VTEC you cannot hear the exhaust (good thing IMO)

Bad things

-I can feel a low end power loss. It is noticeable.
-It's LOUD. Way too loud.
-It drones out at 3-4k.

Do the pro's outweigh the con's? I think they do. Plus, my silencers are on the way, so they should help out the loudness issues.

Overall I'm pleased. But I think that if the silencers don't fix the low end power loss and the absolutely loudness, I'll end up selling it.

I think most aftermarket exhausts will lose a bit on the low end other than the Mugen one. The stock exhausts in all Hondas are usually tuned for low end grunt.

Is your Spugen louder than the Spoon?

Hehehe. I can't stand mine - if the silencers don't make a substantial difference I'll have to sell it.

I find the silencer doesn't really improve much. Also, you'll lose even more power with them on.

Dylan I told you that you should not have bought a knock off mugen brand like spugen... Just Kidding. Hope the silencers work out.

You haven't heard my invidia with the silencers out...it is way too loud for day to day driving, with the silencers in it is much better.

I have the same droning issue around 4K rpm also....
