Default Stupid tire question.

I'm looking at trying out the new Hankook RS-2's but no one has the sizes i want in stock. i would prefer a 225/50/16 for the fronts but all that is available right now are the 205/55/16 and 205/45/16.

So should i stay with the stock size of 205/55/16 or go with all 45 series tires, because i'll be getting the 245/45/16 for the rears.

I do have one other possible choice is to keep my stock s-02 for the front they have way better tread then the rears and just run 2 sets of tires until the sizes i want come in, or is that just a ghetto thing to do.

Thanks
Rob

I would not mix/match tires, especially on this car. I just put the Kumho MX on my 17 inch wheels and have been very happy with them thus far. I say wait it out until you can get the right sizes if you really want the Hankook's.

I agree, mix/match is kinda ghetto. I wouldn't go with the stock size up front and 245's in the rear, too much of a stagger which will induce more understeer and I know how much you like oversteer. Upgrade to some 17's!
