Top Down in the Rain
I was just chatting with a buddy at work and he said he saw a red S driving with the top down in the rain the other day
Tim that wasn't you was it?
Has anyone done this. If you fast enough, will the rain just flow by you with the air current?

Last August on my way out to Vancouver Island I hit some rain near the summit of the Coquihalla...it was raining pretty hard and everything was ok for a while (@130K) but as it became more intense I had to stop and put the top up. I was pretty surprised at how much I was able to put up with though.
On the way back to Edmonton from cowtown last spring I drove for 1:45 in reavy rain @ 135 to 150 km/h and didn't get a single drop "in" the car.
Very important to RainX the windshield though - if you use the wipers it creates too much water at one time and it comes around the windshield post and into you lap. (if top is down - windows must be down too)

...well it's not like I plan for these things....I was in the middle of a long trip and in a hurry to catch the ferry to the Island so I thought if it isn't bothering me, why stop...I did get a few odd looks from other motorists though! Now that you mention it Warren, I do recall getting some water in the car from the windshield wipers.....guess I didn't have the RainX yet.
On a different note, I noticed tonight that I got some wax on the black part of the rear bumper (at the bottom) during my last waxing session. I heard from someone that peanut butter may be my best weapon to get t it back to black....has anyone had any experience with this yet?
