It's a great car and I love the S.... but really it's not like it's a lambo or something....

Bring on the snow!
Well put. For many of us here, it's also a 5 or 6 year old car.

Just got a brand new set of Hakkapaliitta RSI snow tires -- looking forward to the snow.

Parking it, as I have done the last 7 years.

no question the s2000 is probably awesome and fun in the snow, with the proper tires.

The city of Regina does not understand the concept of snow removal. We deal with snow ruts. We don't get skiffs of snow, we get dumps of it, and a lot of times it is heavy with moisture. The city doesn't get it removed, and then it packs and gets big ruts.

I bottom out in my current daily driver

I'll be parking mine for the winter. Not sure when, basically when it's more fun to drive my WRX every day. I'm on S02s though, I can feel the dramatic loss of traction when it's cooler. That may be the deciding factor.

I winter drove my Miata one year - power oversteer in 3rd gear is fun. But power oversteer in a WRX in 3rd gear is even more fun!

I'll second the comment about the WRX in the winter.

This is Shane with the Silverstone '01 from Edmonton (my wife and i squared off against you in Saskatoon after the Camaro broke). That's pretty funny that we both have the same vehicles - an '01 S2K and a WRX. What year and color is yours? Ours is a Silver '03; so fun to drive after a good snowfall. My wife actually drives it daily and i get stuck with the '90 Integra.

Oh, my S2000 will be getting parked likely by the end of the month or first snow dump, whichever comes first. But since race season is over and the weather gets pretty sketchy this time of year i probably won't take it out much now anyway. I just can't bear worrying about people hitting me and all the sand and crud all over the road all winter. Not to mention it's alot easier to work on a car that hasn't seen winter roads.

Mine will be parked once the snow flies. I can do without the gravel, salt, grime, slop, etc.

I also don't want to take a chance with kind hearted, good samaritans, digging me out of a snow bank; flailing away with metal shovels inches away from the car; while the others push as hard as they can on the rear wing.
