Default wtt antennas

i got this antenna with the car... i guess its for better reception... but i like the look of the stock s2000 antenna...
so if anyone would like to do a straight trade?

I think that one is off an Insight. Does your car have the factory HU? If not then the person who installed it may not have hooked up the amplified antenna lead and that's why the reception was bad requiring the use of the longer antenna.
I don't think a new stubby OEM antenna costs that much (20 bucks maybe?).

it did have the factor hu in... i just put an aftermarket one in

if nobody wants to trade i guess i will just buy a new one...haha

I don't think too many people want that thing. I want to eliminate my antenna all-together

But yeah, they're about $25 locally. Or go steal one off a Celica (they probably originally stole it from an S2000 anyway)

If you didn't hook up the amplified antenna power, going to the OEM shorty won't work. You probably need the longer one just to receive the radio signal.

i was driving around with no antenna today... the radio worked perfectly

I think FM can be received more easily. AM needs the amplified antenna signal.
