Default Relocating to Denver

I am a new owner of a 04 GPW and have been living in South Florida for 2 years since graduating college with a business degree. The job market sucks down here and cost of living is just too high, I and am seriously considering moving out to Denver with a friend. A few questions:

How practical is an s2k in Denver? weather wise is a hardtop a necessity?

How is the city for a 25 yr old single guy?

How is the job market? anyone know of any sales or finance openings?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks-Brandon

The S2000 is do-able as a daily driver in Denver. There are a few people here that drive them all year. However, snow tires are a must. A hardtop is not a necessity.

There is quite a bit to do for a 25 year single guy. I'm a 25 year old single guy too, you can always find something to do. Just depends on what you like to do.

The job market is slow here. But there are a few jobs that are open. I'm not sure about sales or finance.

I DD my S 70 miles a day all year round. No problems here. It helps that my wife has a wrangler unlimited for the big snow days though. I'm in sales, but am not looking to add people at this moment, and most of our business is in other parts of the country, so I really can't help you there. You should be able to find something *relatively* easy though, just use as many mediums as you can find: Denver Post, Craigslist, Job Fairs, Monster, Careerbuilder, etc..

25 yr old in the city downtown Denver there are tons of opportunities... hot young girls and fun things to do...

as far as the job market denver is supposedly one of the better economies right now id try contacting some local companies to get a better gauge on the finance market here

s is a fine daily just make sure u get snow tires and now that there will be 3-5 days a year you wont make it out

Thanks for the help everyone. I am actually going to be on a plane in a few hours to Denver for the week to check out the city and look for a job. Any cant miss places I should go to so I can get a true feeling of the city? So far all i really have planned is a Rockies game on sunday. I really think Denver might be the right fit for me- every major sports team, outdoor activities, club/bar scene. hopefully the job thing will happen for me.

What is a comfortable and realistic starting salary for a post grad? I know you can live quite fine off $40k in the middle of Arkansas but couldn't afford to buy ramen noodles off that in NYC. Anyone know of any recruiters? thanks again

I think it would be pretty tough to live on $40k by yourself, but my assistant seems to do ok at that level. $50k would probably be better to shoot for.

depends on how comfortable you want to be... in my industry the average post grad is making 35-40k... and living in the city not the easiest life tho i would say the 50k number would be a comfortable living

Has anyone had or heard of any problems with seats getting stolen out here? In south florida where I have been living seats stolen is very common so ricers can put them in their 1994 civics so a garage is a necessity.

Anyone one know of any jobs or recruiters? I am really trying to move out here. thanks

Stolen seats doesn't seem to be as much of a problem here as it is in FL.

stolen seats arent a problem people on craigslist even have trouble selling em...

i recommend having a garage just because of the harsh changes in weather and the power that the sun will have on your paint.
