Are this the ones with the 4 points of contact? If so, I experienced lots of problems with these. They burn VERY hot. I ended up replacing them.

The thread pic was of the iridium plugs. I was referring to the Bosch plat 4 plugs. Perhaps I mis-read something.

Wow! Thanks for the link. Looks like I'll be taking a look at my Denso Iridium plugs in my Prelude tomorrow. My car isn't FI but I'll still be taking a look.

That is a very uncommon failure for plugs despite the manufacturer. it usually is a result of the plug being dropped before installation and creating a tiny crack. Heat and vibration make the crack larger over time. I have seen it several times on many different brands of plugs. I use and sell IK plugs and havent seen a similar failure in at least a few years.

only use for platinum or iridium is to extend the life of the plug, reduce maintance. this appears not possible due to their current construciton.

swaping out the junk ir plugs.

I wouldnt exactly call them junk. I ran them in my hatch and put 50k on them without a problem.

Simon, it wouldnt hurt to go back to the hotter plugs.
