Default Window tape

Window tape

This is the best I could find for removing the window tape. If you look at past pictures of drives you will see my car has the window tape removed. I know that some of you *cough* didn't know that the windshield frame was painted. Hope this helps. There are a lot of different ways to remove the tape, just take some time and do some searchs.

FYI - If you have an older S, it is NOT recommended to remove the tape. This is because the older the car = more time the adhesive has had to stick, making it very hard to remove. AND, some cars didn't have the window frame completely painted (as with mine).

Good luck,
Kyle

I think if I had a color matched hard-top, the windshield frame would look better with the tape removed. But with the black rag top, I think the black looks better.

I actually bought my car with the window tape removed. I'm not a huge fan of it either, but I've had to learn to live with it. However, there are a few colors that look good with the window tape removed.

Silk - I'm sorry to steal your thunder, then again....... no I'm not.

I will be having mine professionally removed in the next week or so at the only collision shop I will let touch my car; Centennial Collision.

BTW, these are also the guys who are doing the Wash and Wax clinic.

Check the event calendar, June 10th.

There prices are really reasonable. I will be talking with them next week probably and will ask.
