Wink AP-2 Wheel Paint Code ???

Does anyone have a paint code for the wheel paint on an '04 AP-2?

As far as I can discern, the outside of the wheel is painted and also has a clear coat. My clear coat is failing and the wheel itself looks to be corroding on the outside where the clearcoat has failed. The back of the wheels seem to be the bare metal.

I am assuming that I will have to strip the clearcoat and that whatever paint will come off too. Any info on this task will be appreciated.

If you're only painting one wheel the exact code may not match the others which have been weathered for 16 years. I had my extra front wheel refinished and the paint shop matched the wheels on the car. The paint code paint didn't match well.

I probably need to do all 4, but I'm most likely to do them one or two at a time.

The paint code for the inner portions of the wheel is Blade Silver. It's a late 80s-early 90s Honda/Acura color. As Chuck mentioned, it's best to get all four painted and refinished at the same time. Process would be to strip down, paint entire wheel blade silver, machine the faces, then clear coat.

The wheels should be painted not powercoated clear finish to match the OEM style. Powercoated clear will be too thick and too glossy, but if that's your style, that could be an option as well Good luck with the refinishing process!
