Default Bumper costs

I was hit yesterday and the person who hit me wanted an estimate to decide to pay me or go through insurance. Does anyone have an estimate for how much this work cost for a new bumper and paint? I looked underneath and the bumper rail doesn't look bent. I will go get an estimate this week but figured it would be helpful to send a ballpark.

Thanks!

Going to be at least $1000, paint will be the expensive part.

an oem bumper will cost you 200-250 depending on your local dealer. Paint should cost about 300-500.

I don’t know what local dealer costs 200-250 for bumper because by me it is 350-400. Paint is another 400

Painting that bumper is on the high end. Removing rear bumper is real easy so I don’t see that being part of the cost which will make it that high. Ask if they will blend or match as close as possible. Yellow isn’t the easiest to match so hope it comes out good.

Thanks. Based on my conversation with the body shop I feel pretty confident they will do a good job. I have the AP2 front bumper so I think I am going to switch the back to AP2 as well since I need a new bumper anyway. It is a direct swap, right? Body shop said they would do either as long as the brackets etc are the same.

Thanks

yeah, it's a direct swap but the 2 small brackets on the very bottom of the center of the bumper are longer on an ap2 than an ap1. I used a bolt and 3 nuts on each one to keep the spacing even.

I had brackets made but my shop made it fit like stock. I’ll take pics if I can this weekend to show you
