Default Buying a hardtop

My question is would anybody who owns a hard top do it over again and spend all that money for one. Were the benefits of one really worth two grand+? Jw

I would do it again, the top makes a nice option for use on the car. I have the OEM tops on both cars and have never regretted having them. These tops are getting rare, the best buys are on used ones, if you can locate one.

I love my OEM top and wouldn't trade it for any other car part.

I don't regret getting mine, but since I love driving with the top down, I simply don't use it much at all, so I kind of spoiled myself without justification. It is hard to wanna take off once on, since I love the way it looks, and the quieter ride, but then I miss the instant top down feature, so off it goes within a couple of weeks. Still makes a good purchase, since they won't depreciate all that much due to their rarity. I also added insurance on it in case it were to ever get stolen for added security.

I just put mine on today for a quick change and I have never driven the car with it on. When I bought my S it came with the OEM hardtop. I bought my car and trailered it back home and took the hardtop off once I got home. Today is the first time I have ever used the top. I really drive everyday with the top down...but it is suppose to rain for a few days, so I wouldn't be able to go top down anyway, so I put the hardtop on. I would buy one if I didn't already have one.

Do it Do it!! Give your S2 some character! Not to say it already doesn't have a good personality.

I had a hardtop and ended up selling it. I loved how it looked, but it just wasn't the same as being able to put the top down on the spot.
