I did watch the video and a few others, I just like picking peoples brain about the stuff they did. Its better to learn from others trials and tribulations where you can =D. I am going to try and Paint my AP2V2s this weekend. So any input from anyone thats painted rims before would be great, I was going to go Simple Green, 2 cans black, 2 cans clear. trying to decide on what grit sand paper to use.

Yeah it sorta sucks since all paint will chip. Your wheels have rocks hitting them all the time, so even good paint will chip eventually just driving. Powdercoat is the way to go. A lot more durable than paint, and it doesnt peel. I powdercoat my own parts, I havent done any wheels but I did do the faces of my OEM lugs, and they look as good as the day I did them. I know for a fact if they were painted they would be chipped to hell by now.

The wheels do look good though. You might just have to sand them down and respray them every year if you don't like the chips.

powder coating is the way to go. It will last much longer and way stronger against rock chips then any rattle can spray paint. It should be under 200.

I had my APv2s powdercoated white and they came out fantastic. My shop charged me $240 for all four wheels.
