I got a good dent in my driver side front fender when we were pulling the motor last year, I leaned on it by accident trying to get some torque on a tranny to engine bolt.

Honestly, Honda sheetmetal is only one step above foil wrap in terms of thickness. I only get dents on my Honda cars, I have never had a dent on any of my domestic vehicles over the years.

You want the car to be light, or you want thicker sheet metal, you can't have both (without it costing a lot more to build).

On all the S2000s I've owned, I always noticed how the quarter panels seemed to dent so easily. And not sharp dents from doors or tools, just very small waves in the metal.

I just picked up an 04 in silver stone. I notice them in the rear quarters when looking for them at the right angle in the right light, but I can't justify removing them since the car is 8 years old, DD, and parked in a apt complex. I'm just happy I'm not the only crazy one who it bothers. Maybe one day I will have the car resprayed and a very very light body filler in place to make it smooth like glass again. It's not just s2k's, but any car older than 5 years will have tiny imperfections.

IMO, Honda sheet metal is just way too thin. Both our '10 Pilot & '13 Fit show the same imperfections in the metal, and the Fit is only 10 months old and has 5k miles.
