I've never been sucessful removing any dings cleanly. If I do get a door ding I get PRD done to it for $15-20 a ding depending on location.
I only managed to get 1 ding since owning the car but they seem to happen when I'm cautious. Just taking the car out on weekends to go places with my wife I much rather take her car and just joy ride in the S.

I was tempted into purchasing a PDR kit but, I think I rather pay a pro.

PDR people are great, especially honda metals being very flexible they work out dings very cleanly. I took out a ton on my tsx and just one on my s2000 the other day. I don't even remember where they were before.
