Default dumb yellow question

Hi,

I am new here and looking to buy an S. Until recently I thought that the yellow was ok looking but I didn't think I could live with it. Today I saw a spa yellow at a dealer and I thought that maybe I could. Are there two different yellows? Is there a side by side photo that someone could post of spa and Rio?

Bill

USUALLY, ap1's are spa. ap2's are rio. as that's how they came from the factory.

to me, spa is a "cooler" shade of yellow(more neon highlighter), while rio is a "warmer" shade of yellow(more towards the red/orange).... if that makes any sense at all...

Makes perfect sense. I just wish I could see them side by side. Of course real life would be the only real way to tell as photos vary so much in the color they show.
thanks

you could browse through this thread and look for the yellow s2k pictures....

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=816146&st=0

there are pictures of ap1s and ap2s in relatively close proximity as the same color'd cars were all instructed to park close together...

hope this helps.

Rio also has pearl which doesn't generally come across in photos.

Wow those are some great pics.
There must be at least two different laguna blues. I did not realize that.

Because of these photos I have realized that some of the colors that I like as a color in itself do not look as good on the street as others. The black is awesome, but I am too lazy for that. The white really stands out as does the yellow. Strangely the red does not so much. Are some of the white pearl and others not?

Isn't there a monte carlo blue too?
I see two different shades of Suzuka (maybe resprays?)
The Apex is easy to spot.
The Laguna seems like it has different shades too.
Then there is that real dark blue that I thought was called Monte Carlo.
Every S I have test driven so far and offered to buy was a Suzuka.
