Default A few body/paint issues

So I've decided to keep my S2000, as I'm getting more comfortable in it, but because I am OCD about my cars I hate that the front bumper is a different shade of yellow than the rest of the car. Whoever resprayed it before did a horrible job. I think I'll get it redone by a local shop. Looks like it might run about $800 for the whole bumper. The rest of the paint is fine, though some chips were touched up with paint other than OEM spec so that bothers me, too.

The bigger issue is the side skirts. Both are dented on the bottom and the body shop told me the part would need to be totally replaced. My question is if I can hide it with an OEM bodykit or if I should look for a used part. Picture enclosed. That's one side, the other side has a similar problem.

Trying to decide on the most cost effective way of repairing it all. If I should just get an unpainted body kit all around and do it that way or fix it with OEM parts.

Also got this ding on the right fender that I'm trying to decide what to do with. I paid more than what the car was probably worth with all this stuff going on, but I'd rather get it in good shape then live with the imperfections.

The lower skirt area should be able to be pulled out with the use of a slide hammer and a minimum of filler to finish the surface. The paint matching issue may be due to your cars paint having faded which makes matching even harder. Good luck in the repairs.

Took it to a local place, they said the skirt needs to be replaced entirely. The paint on the rest of the car looks pretty good. I think it was kept in doors for a lot of its life.

Trying to decide if I should find some used parts for the side skirts and maybe have them paint a urethan bumper vs. Stripping and respeaying the old one.

I agree with Vanishing Point on having the dent pulled, if the shop has a stud gun it should come out fairly easily. As far as replacing the entire rocker panel, that is one big job that will cost big $$$.

Whoever does the work on your RYP will most likely have to blend the basecoat into the adjacent panel to disguise the color difference in the new paint, they will never be able to get a proper color match so be prepared for that. This will give you the opportunity to have the fender repaired and painted at the same time.

Good luck with the repairs.

Yeah, I was told that RYP is hard to color match. What I might do is look around for an AP 2 bumper or CR bumper used that is in good condition. Maybe even find a new fender.
