Hey guys, just installed some OEM fenders and I think I'm going to rub with my set up. I'm running 17x9 +45 rpf1 255/40/17 hankook rs3s square set up lowered on HKS hipermax SP and buddy club roll center adjusters at around -2.8 camber. Fender is pretty damn close to the tires. I want to roll the fenders with a heat gun and a mallet, is that possible? Should I get a fender roller? I'm trying to avoid the baseball bat or jack handle trick, I don't even think they'll fit lol.

Is it possible to roll your fenders with a heat gun and a mallet? Sure.

Is it recommended? Likely not.

Borrow, or rent, a fender roller and do it right the first time. Good luck!

dont do it.

Our fenders are super thin in places and it’s challenging still with a proper fender roller.

takes a skilled hand, LOTS of patience and the RIGHT tools to pull this off and in some cases I have seen it’s not that perfect.

using a mallet is just asking for major trouble.

#1 you are 100% going to rub and it catch that fender with the tire. I would not drive much if at all before you roll them.

#2 you could use heat and a mallet but it makes it that much harder to have it look even. If you hit the wrong part of the fender by accident you will cause damage. Either borrow a roller or have someone that knows what they are doing roll them.

I would suggest a 16# sledge hammer.

It cost me less than $80 to get this done
