The top is brandnew not even 3monthes old ! I have gone to several places and they have told me that its the windshield gasket, but before i go out and buy and change the gasket, i wanted to double check w.someone here who has maybe encountered the same issue , and it might not be the Gasket it might be a smaller issue if you guys can help me out i would really appreciate it

So the air is coming through between the top of the windshield frame, and the soft top correct? This is actually a very common problem mostly with hardtops, but does happen with soft tops also. The main fix for it is to buy some new OEM strikers from Honda. The old ones get worn out and doesnt latch the top down as tight anymore, and will allow air to come in.

There is another option to try and fix this that is much cheaper, but still very effective. I made an offer of $15 shipped for these and they accepted. They are just spacers so that the latches pull down harder, resulting in a better seal.

Hope that helps!

there is a diy to get rid of the noise that works very well. you have to take off the visors and the panels around the front window to get to and remove the latches. once you've gotten them off, add 1-2 washers to the screw that holds the latches to the car. that got rid of most of the noise for me from 0-70mph. i then found that adding silicon hoses that i used for my air pump to my fishtank around the hooks created a more complete seal. now i can hit 90-100mph with very minimal air noise

total cost: 4 washers: $.50 cents and 1 foot silicon hose: $3

i have an 00 s2k as well. first day i bought my car at night and the wind noise was so bad that i drove home with the top down...must of been in the upper 30's maybe low 40's that night.
